It’s the last week of the month and you know what that means! It’s the last week of our monthly contest!  We asked everyone to submit your best vacation photo from Azeroth and beyond. Originally we planned to close submissions early and let you guys vote on the winner but we have had so few submissions we have decided to skip the voting and extend the contest one more week!

 

How Do You Enter?

Take a vacation picture anywhere in Azeroth (or IRL) and send it to us on Facebook, Twitter, or by email! It’s that simple!

 

What Do I Win?

The winner gets a Funko Pocket Pop! Keychain.  This guy needs a home! Get your pictures in by July 31st and we will pick and announce a winner August 1st! Good luck!

Hello again faire fans!  It’s a new month and that means it’s time for a new contest! It’s July and everyone seems to be hitting the road to have fun in the sun on summer vacation! Silas loves checking Facebook or Twitter to see everyone having a great time making memories across the lands of Azeroth and Beyond!

From now until July 25th share your favorite vacation picture with us, taken in Azeroth or IRL!  We will pick a few of our favorites and post them here on DarkmoonTimes.com July 27th for you guys to vote on your favorite vacation picture!  The winning photo will receive a Pocket Funko Pop Murloc Keychain!

June’s contest has come and gone and we at Darkmoon Times are incredibly thankful for each of the suggestions you guys submitted. Adding people to the directory is a priority for us and we hope to keep it growing so everyone can find and enjoy everything this community has to offer.

Summer Lovin’ – Azeroth News

Things are heating up across Azeroth which can mean only one thing! Summer has hit. There are lots of things to do now and coming up soon! Let’s take a look.

 

Return of the Guardian

Qiraji Guardling pet

The Qiraji Guardians have once again made their way back to Azeroth. These special pets show up every summer before migrating in the fall. This means you have from June 21st – September 23rd to cage your own guardling. They are usually level 16 – 17 and are found around the entrance to Ahn’Qiraj. It’s part of the World Safari achievement for the Zookeeper title! You can learn more about this pet by visiting Warcraft Pets.

 

Midsummer Fire Festival

Banner and tent from Midsummer Fire Festival The yearly Midsummer Fire Festival has returned until July 5th. The bonfires have once again been lit across the land to “rekindle peoples spirit.” We are asked to honor these fires and extinguish our enemies bonfires during the hot summer days. There are pets, toys, and other goodies to purchase with the burning blossoms you earn at each bonfire, daily quest, or Ahune kill. There are also many achievements you can get which are needed for What A Long, Strange Trip It’s Been. You will need 410 Burning Blossoms to complete all achievements needed to complete the holiday.

Honoring and desecrating fires will require you to travel to bonfires all across Azeroth but you can earn 935 as Alliance or 945 as Horde just from bonfires alone. Dailies and Ahune will add to that. Fires are located in Eastern Kingdoms, Kalimdor, Outland, Northrend, Vashj’ir, Deepholme, and Pandaria. As you can see, you will be doing a lot of traveling!

Fireworks Summer Spectacular

There’s no better way to wind down after a week of hot summer fun than to celebrate with a fireworks spectacular!  Visit your capital cities or come on down to scenic Booty Bay on July 4th for Azeroth’s yearly fireworks show.  It never disappoints!

No matter how you celebrate this weekend: taming a Qiraj Guardling, visiting bonfires, having fun at the Faire or enjoying a fireworks show with friends, stay cool out there Azeroth!

Movie Reviews Are In – Blog Scroll

Here at the Faire there has been only one topic everyone seems to be discussing. The Warcraft movie. People have talked about differences, ticket sales, and critic reviews. Those critics! They are harder to please than Khadgar when he wants crystals. 4986 Khadgar? Really?

Some people just want to be difficult! I guess critics will be critics but what are people from the community saying? There have been a lot of great write ups about the film within the community. These reviews DO contain spoilers so read at your own risk.  As they say in Hollywood, The reviews are in!

 

Growing Up Azeroth
